Web designers should make every effort to make their pages accessible to all who wish to view them. To this end, NotGoddess.com has implemented the following enhancements.
Access keys
Most browsers support jumping to specific links by typing
keys defined on the web site. On Windows, you can press
ALT + an access key; on Macintosh, you can press
Control + an access key.
All pages on this site should define the following access keys:
| Key | Links to: |
| 0 | Site Help |
| 1 | Home page |
| 2 | Skip Navigation |
| 3 | Site Map |
| 4 | Search |
| 5 | The list of Not so Frequently Asked Questions |
| 7 | Privacy Policy |
| 8 | Terms of use |
| 9 | Contact and Feedback page |
| x | Reload current page |
The site uses accesskeys in conformance with accessibility guidelines to enable users. Should you find any of these keys conflict with your user agent, please let us know so we can find alternatives.
Visually identifying links
Where possible, links offsite, or to special documents are identified as follows:
| Type | Rel | Visual Clue |
| External | external | |
| Word documents | doc | |
| Zipped files | zip |
Not all links are marked, but we continue to enhance them.
Enhancing Accessibility
I do not have the ability at present to preview how this site renders for visitors using accessibility devices. If you have, I would value your feedback on this site, and any suggestions you may have to remove bugs and glitches, and enhance the accessibility of this site. I can then apply those principles to sites I design.
