FXB: Week 1, Day 1

Day 1: Kickboxing!

Today’s class had me stumbling around, trying to keep up with the pace. I think I concentrated too much on getting the timing right instead of working on my form, so I’ll need to watch that next time…there’s always time to improve my speed later. Good speed with poor technique = poor results. Good technique with slower speed = more certain results that will improve as I do.

There is a technique seminar on Saturday I’ll be sure to attend. As my trainer said- I need to get the form right and build the muscle memory.

It was a bit chilly and I note for future reference: wear a coat you can wash easily! I was sticky all the way home.

Tomorrow: Resistance Training (upper body).
