Getting out of Starvation Mode and Losing the Fat
Jul 6, 2011 11:25 PM Journal Goals About
Turns out I’ve not been eating enough….for years. Or rather I’d normally eat around 800 calories, then go crazy once a week or so and eat pizza or eat out and jump up to 2000-3000. My body, already starving, takes those extra calories and guess what? Stores them as fat.
Meet my new mower, the Fiskars Momentum
May 31, 2011 10:10 PM Journal Goals Review
I’ve owned my new Fiskars Momentum mower for almost a month now and I really enjoy mowing with it.
I’ve mowed with gas and electric rotary mowers and one other manual reel mower. My Fiskars Momentum is my favorite so far. No gas fumes, noise and it’s easier for me to push than my old reel.

A paradox, a paradox,
A most ingenious paradox!
We’ve quips and quibbles heard in flocks,
But none to beat this paradox!

I’ve always had odd sleeping patterns. I’d get 4-5 hours of sleep, or skip it altogether for a day and ‘catch up’ when I could. But lately I’ve been unsettled by something.

In Search of a Pithy Slogan
Jan 5, 2009 07:02 PM Journal Humor
When I first redesigned this site I attempted to conceive an epigram that would sum up the site with wit and style. I failed, so fell back to ‘In search of a pithy slogan’, which I think is rather witty, if only facetiously. Perhaps it’s time for a change, or I am looking for an excuse to list expressions I’ve found on the net. :)

Oohh long title- likely longer than the post really, but we’ll see. Random musing follow.
New New New Doctor?

The cat (nun, nurse) is out of the bag. Matt Smith will be Doctor #11. I know at least a few of you out there (who haven’t googled furiously) are asking “Matt Who?”. Go ahead and google…I’ll wait.
Old shows, new connections

I enjoy watching old shows I loved when I was younger and noticing actors known today in other roles.

Okay, and now the silly, improbable and semi-scandalous list of things that are highly unlikely, a bit out of my hands in most cases yet lovely daydream material. In no particular order.
